I guess most of us didn't know that the platform can change anything at anytime. Even if we did we never thought that suddenly we will have to earn in cents or the only way to strive is to get reads in thousands. People get hooked to the reward system.

Yes, keeping all your eggs in one basket is never a very good plan. But nor there is anything wrong in venting and eventually adapting to new normal or quitting.

The system, the communication that a person gets from the time they get awareness about the platform and the experiences makes most of us feel that yes, this is something sustainable. But I still feel Medium is an amazing platform. I never initially joined it for the money.

Yes, I will keep writing on Medium, may not be as frequently as I am right now. Circumstances are different for all of us. But again we can't change everything according to our needs, but we can make changes to our own approach.

I agree with you in that. It's like a job. Imagine working at a company who suddenly started cutting your salary for no reason. You will initially vent and rebel. But at one point you will start looking for something else.

Some will stay and some will move on. Life will go on.
