I hope this is just an experiment to see how writers behave when they are not paid. Maybe to see what % of writers continue to write and engage with other people's content on the platform. If they see things are the same they may keep the EPR like what it is today. In that way, they may also end up recovering some loss that they may have made for the future with those revoked accounts. Although they may have paid for a few months or maybe a year, they wouldn't end up becoming loyal long-time users. Also, people were engaging a lot giving them super high incomes. So maybe to balance money going in and money coming out they have taken this step. These are just my guesses. Maybe completely delusional. I am too high with all these going on. All I have written since yesterday are my thoughts on why Medium may have done this to us. Quite unfair.
