In my last job where I worked as a User Researcher, I had a manager who used to call me for quick chats at 9:00 pm when we had already done overtime without pay for 3 hours. Those quick chats sometimes become long meetings. We would have to request them to let us go only to further annoy ourselves. I am so happy that I am out of that place. These used to be regular scenes there. There were worse days. Working on weekends and holidays was normal. I wanted to do the same thing that you did to your boss. But I couldn't as at the time my certificate mattered and I didn't have a backup plan to join another company. Reading your article made me feel good and I am happy that you are at a better place.
