So you see how one small UI change can impact our earnings negatively. Medium should have conducted more research and developed a strategy that works both for the publications as well as writers. From what I see from the past few months writers are slowly getting ripped off any motivation. Multiple barriers for earning despite writing regularly. On top of that these unwanted overnight UI changes.

Hence we resort to activities like asking people to read our articles, tagging them at the end of our articles, and attaching a link to our articles in the comments. We feel hopelessness.
